Jeremiah 34:11 "But
afterward they turned, and caused the servants and the handmaids, whom they had
let go free, to return, and brought them into subjection for servants and for
handmaids."
When plotting, one event
in a scene should cause the events in the following scene. The story best hangs
together if there is a cause-effect relationship throughout the book.
But we want to be careful
not to let our stories be too predictable. Our readers will become bored if
they can anticipate everything in the story.
So we will want to add
plot twists. These are things that occur in the story that are unexpected, but
still carry the cause-effect plotline, taking the story in a different
direction.
