Isaiah 55:9 "For as
the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways,
and my thoughts than your thoughts."
Sometimes the harder we
try to get ideas, the more elusive those ideas are. Whether we’re trying to
find something to write about, trying to find the next plot point in our story,
or trying to get a first draft of an article down, we struggle with the muse.
Our imaginations are
wonderful things, but they don’t always seem to work on cue. Those mysterious
ways of successful writers don’t seem to work for us.
So sometimes we need a
break to give our creative side a rest and stop beating ourselves up for being
human, rather than machines. Often, once we get back to work, we might find
that the break has coaxed our shy ideas back into our brains.
