2 Chronicles 20:12 "O
our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great
company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are
upon thee."
Plotting should be a lot
easier than it is. How hard is it to figure out what comes next in a story we
are writing?
If we were content to
write boring, unsaleable stories, we could get through our word counts quickly.
Have our characters eaten breakfast? Maybe it’s time for them to eat lunch.
Our difficulty is because
we want exciting things to happen to our characters. We want to find ways for
them to fight their way out of plausible situations to make them strong at the
story’s end and to keep our readers up at night until they reach the end.
