Luke 8:3 "And Joanna
the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered
unto him of their substance."
Writing for women is
probably the biggest market of all. Not only are there magazines and books, but
many markets not targeted to women know that women are most likely to buy for
other family members, so they too try to appeal to women.
Women’s magazines may seem
like they are alike at first glance. Writers who are serious about breaking in
will want to study them carefully to see the differences because each fills a
specific niche.
Women’s fiction covers everything from short stories to genre to mainstream. Nonfiction books can be anything from cookbooks to how-to to self-help to childcare to pretty much anything a writer can imagine.
